Press release "Sciacca" - Spring/Summer 2011 Woman's collection

Spring/Summer 2011 Woman's collection

Between water, wind and sand GIUSEPPEPATANE' creates his new Spring/Summer collection 2011 combining the freedom of the natural elements with an urban and sophisticated style, in a “new age” of dresses, camisoles, shorts, jump suits and hot pants.

The collection takes inspiration from Sciacca, a town shaped like an amphitheatre on The cost of the Sicilian Sea between the mouth of the rivers Platani and Belice.

In this picturesque site, Giuseppe imagines his new woman: a metropolitan and modern nomad; and he elaborates new style codes: the “extremely romantic” featuring ‘papiflon’ lapels and the “aristocratic allure” full of translucent studs like those mounted in the lances of The Sciacca ancient conquerors: the Arabs and the Berbers.

Total white for the summer dresses in gabardine and poplin of cotton; colonial hot pants; Jersey blouses, cut on the bias, to wear with trousers ‘palazzo style’, in organza of pure silk; swirls and more

swirls, often embellished with flocks, looking like the circular waves in the thermal waters of San Calogero mount.

Fabrics are created with new technologies and mixed with pure organic silk, to give fill Giuseppe's dresses with lot of sensuality.

The entire collection is based on a chromatic palette of various meridian colours from white to khaki tobacco, and powdery pink quartz.

The evening features a range of bustier dresses in stretching silk, embellished by elegant (3/4)

lingerie in neutral colours; one-shoulder balloon sleeve blouses to wear with skirts designed with origami pleats on the waist line, in laminated malibù satin; totally retro outfits in tones of the deep blue sea reminded the colour of the Sciacca Sea with its stunning little bays, at times rocky at times sandy and this paradisiacal scenario is echoed in the new concept of elegance by GIUSEPPEPATANE'.
